Job Summary: The technician integrates residential and commercial security, fire alarm, access control, CCTV, biometrics, and all other company services. Installation and service includes wiring, hardware, power connections, and network connections. Assists with sales as a course of normal business opportunities.Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions:1. Tests security, fire alarm, access control, CCTV and intercom systems for proper hardware/software operation prior to customer acceptance.2. Performs functional testing on all installed field devices.3. Verifies operation of all related system programs and graphical displays.4. Independently resolves system deficiencies and malfunctions.5. Replaces or makes necessary repairs on defective microprocessor boards, computer peripherals and other related devices.6. Independently conducts/documents customer acceptance test.7. Provides 24/hours/day, 7 day/week hardware and software service availability on commissioned and noncommissioned systems.8. Assures maintenance of safe working conditions at job site and compliance with all industry and regulatory standards.9. Completes all necessary paperwork including checkout sheets, job journals, material requisitions, material repair forms, and time sheets.10. Responsible for all startup activities and documentation on projects that are assigned to the startup technician.11. Performs asbuild changes to drawings and graphics.12. Performs startup tasks efficiently and manages startup on projects so that they are completed within budgeted hours.13. Performs software additions/corrections to systems as required.14. Performs service work as necessary.15. Performs other duties as assigned.16.
