Answers telephone, Live Chat, and e-mail inquiries from customers and agents Initiates, activates, and services accounts Contacts customers and/or vendors to obtain information or resolve problems Processes and/or routes transactions, requests, and inquiries using established procedures WHAT KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS ARE NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION? Knowledge of bank products Basic understanding of response center or processing center dynamics ITEMS OF NOTE Entry into this job family may require passing additional background checks May work a non-traditional schedule including weekends, evenings, overnights, and/or holidays May be required to work overtime May be required to attain and retain state licenses ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Bank Response Center Customer Service Representative's work directly with our customers, agents, and third-party callers to fulfill their banking needs, handle their product and service questions, or route their call to the appropriate area of State Farm Bank for assistance. The BRC sites are located in Bloomington, Illinois, and Phoenix, Arizona. As the "front end" of the Bank, our Bank CSR's: * Open and close all types of deposit product accounts * Provide loan payoff amounts (some exceptions apply) * Review transactions on deposit product accounts (including ATM/Check Cards) * Process lost/stolen credit card * Provide Consumer Electronic Banking (CeB) guidance * Provide application and general product guidance to agents and agents' staff * Transfer callers to other areas of State Farm Bank *Provide general customer service and support HIRING NEEDS There is a bilingual need but this is not required to post. TRAINING Mandatory paid training will be conducted from August 22nd - October 7th, Monday - Friday, 7:30 - 4pmCST. INCUMBANCY Candidates that are selected will be required to serve a 12-month incumbency period from their start date. Following the 12-month incumbency period, employees are able to post for other job opportunities outside of their current department. WORK SCHEDULE The BRC is recruiting for both full-time and part-time tours. The full-time is a different JOP. The department conducts semi-annual tour bids, allowing representatives to balance work/life needs. Tour bids include both part-time and full-time positions - neither are guaranteed.
