Title: MQ Series, Message Broker Expert Employment Type: Fulltime Location: Bloomington IL. Job Description: Skills The selected individuals will join the EAI (Enterprise Application Integration) Infrastructure Support team as 3rd level support for State Farm supported "messaging" products. The key "messaging" products include WebSphere MQ (WMQ), WebSphere Message Broker (WMB), and WebSphere Transformation Extender (WTX As a 3rd level production support analysts, these individuals will be expected to participate in incident resolution and problem determination/root cause analysis for events related to the products. Normal hours are standard business hours with the expectation of rotating off-shift, remote support (cell phone) availability. The individual (s) in this position is required to have the following experience/skills: In-depth knowledge of WebSphere MQ (Z/OS, UNIX, and Windows platforms) In-depth knowledge of WebSphere Message Broker (UNIX platforms) Strong knowledge of WebSphere Transformation Extender. In-depth knowledge of HP Service Desk and Service Management principles. Working knowledge of J2EE infrastructure and internal components. Ability to create detailed installation and support documentation Ability to use HP Service Desk and associated products to provide trending and metrics of products. Scripting and development skills. (Z/OS, UNIX and Windows platforms Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to work in a team environment Ability to adapt to a changing environment and priorities Strong focus on customer service Working knowledge of ITIL Service Management principals Roles and Responsibilities: Perform complex incident and problem resolution including: identifying root cause and or providing resolution alternatives, recommending and implementing courses of action, and resolution of the issue. Document and create Knowledge Item solutions for future reference Research and communicate event trends for automation or root cause analysts Work with a variety of areas including: customers, co-workers, business partners, server type owners and service providers Work closely with Incident Management and other Problem Management teams Perform incident and problem resolution for Websphere MQ, WebSphere MB and WebSphere TX. Monitor and report infrastructure impacts and facilitate resolution. Work with the appropriate areas to resolve and recover. Track and implement changes to the Websphere and Middleware environments and servers Perform network issuance of EAI products Change control and implementation as defined within the Service Management implementation at State Farm.
